Kingsmill helps retailers boost engagement with the local community
Bread manufacturers are putting their dough behind independent retailers this month to help stores improve their local communities and better their sales.
Kingsmill has kicked off an initiative that will give retailers the chance to receive a £2,000 investment grant towards a project that would change or improve their neighbourhood, such as repairing a town hall roof or running a series of community events. Two runner-up grants of £500 will also be awarded.
Stores can enter by emailing alliedtrade@lexispr.com to request an entry form. Submissions close on June 10.
“Retailers can take on the role of ‘community champions’ – asking their shoppers what they would like to see in their town or village to bring the neighbourhood together,” said Guy Shepherd, Allied Bakeries category director.
