Yazoo’s £7m sales opportunity will help milk profit from chillers

FrieslandCampina is shaking up the milk drinks category with Yazoo No Added Sugar, which comes in three flavours.

Yazoo No Added Sugar is available to convenience retailers from September. The brand claims that the range will create £7m in additional sales in the first year.

The school-compliant drinks come in Strawberry, Banana and Toffee flavours in 200ml bottles and 4x200ml multipacks, RRP 50p and £1.60 respectively.

Tracey Barney, managing director for FrieslandCampina, said: “Ninety per cent of parents buy their children dairy snacks but only half buy milk drinks, so we wanted to create a milk drink that eight million families would want to buy regularly.”

The launch will be backed by PR, sampling and social media activity.
