Three retailers from Newtrade Media’s Women in Convenience group will be making their voices heard and finding solutions to the challenges faced by female retailers in wholesale depots at the Federation of Wholesale Distributor’s inaugural Diversity in Wholesale event in September.
Natalie Lightfoot of Londis Solo Convenience and Nathalie Fullerton of One Stop Partick, both in Glasgow will attend the event, alongside Sunita Aggarwal, from Spar Hackenthorpe in Sheffield, in a panel chaired by Megan Humphrey, strategic lead for the Women in Convenience initiative.
The panel will discuss how to create an inclusive in-depot experience, sharing the challenges they’ve faced as a female retailer, and talk through possible solutions that the industry can adopt.
Louise Banham, editor in chief at Women in Convenience’s owner, Newtrade Media, said: “We launched Women in Convenience last year to better represent female retailers working in the convenience channel, help them overcome the many challenges they face, and run more profitable businesses. We’re excited that we can be part of Diversity in Wholesale in its first year, and be in the room with so many influential and inspiring women from the wholesale sector.”
Diversity in Wholesale will take place at 30 Euston Square, London on 12 September.
