The number of vaping lines sold in independent convenience stores is consolidating, with more than half of stores stocking the same line for the first time.
The change is revealed in RN’s upcoming What to Stock guide. Previously, the most widely distributed vaping product could only be found in 32.8% of independent stores, compared with 52.5% this year.
Wholesalers admitted last year that the sector’s failure to grasp the category had led retailers to source goods elsewhere, and a retailer at a recent vaping exhibition claimed suppliers were also failing to give retailers the required information.
The Retail Success Handbook: What to Stock is free with RN on 14 June and reveals the 25 must-stock lines in 28 core categories, including vaping.
