The wholesaler has used equipment designed for use in hospitals

United Wholesale Scotland (UWS) has been deep cleaning its cash and carries and symbol group stores in preparation for increased footfall due to eased lockdown restrictions.

The wholesaler, who operates the Day-Today fascia, deep cleaned depots in Glasgow and two of its symbol group stores with equipment designed for use in hospitals to help reassure retailers and their customers of their safety.

Mohammad Abdur Rajak, of Day-Today Bridgeton, said: “It’s fantastic to hear UWS is taking safety of its customers and key workers seriously. The recent deep clean at its depot gives us that much needed confidence and that added layer of security whilst shopping at any of their three warehouses.”

“We have just completed two trial convenience which are part of our symbol group, Day-Today – I can confirm this was a massive success and I would encourage all wholesale and retail groups to carry out this procedure.”
