Ubamarket has launched a loyalty service specifically for the convenience sector, with backing from major symbol retailers and an EPoS firm.
Called Ubacart, customers can scan products as they shop or present the app at the checkout for personalised discounts. It will also bypass the need for cashiers to re-scan items, saving time and operational costs.
The app has already been trialled across multi-site Nisa retailer CK Stores and James Retail, who operates several sites across the Costcutter banner with Bestway. It is also fully integrated into Point Four EPoS, meaning stores partnered with the till provider will have pricing and promotions updated instantly through the app.

More than 300 transactions across four stores were processed through the app within 48 hours of going live in CK Stores.
Ubamarket founder Will Broome said: “After years of research, development and on-the-ground deployment in stores of all shapes and sizes, we are be able to offer an affordable solution to all retailers, really levelling the playing field and bridging the price gap between c-stores and supermarkets.
“We also offer a far more cost-effective, targeted solution for brands, facilitating cross-selling, up-selling, brand switching and unlimited combo deals/partnerships between brands.”
