Post Office fails to remove high court judge from Horizon trials

The Post Office (PO) has failed in its attempt to remove high court judge Justice Fraser from the ongoing Horizon trials.

The company had argued Fraser should recuse himself due to scathing criticisms of the PO he made in an earlier judgement.

Four trials will decide whether losses blamed on retailers were due to errors in the PO’s Horizon till system.

The case involves 550 PO retailers, with a further 500 also looking to take action. However, RN has received claims of unaccountable losses from nearly a dozen more retailers who hadn’t previously come forward.
