The Health Lottery launched the UK’s first 50p lottery game today, with a jackpot of £25,000.
Tickets for the new game are available to buy from Monday, January 19, and the first draw will take place on January 23. Draws will take place every Tuesday and Friday, bumping up The Health Lottery’s prize draw to four times per week.
This latest addition to The Health Lottery’s portfolio boasts that it’s four times cheaper than the Lotto, and players are seven times more likely to win.
“We wanted to make The Health Lottery even more affordable to increase on the £90m that has already been won,” said Stan Myerson, group joint managing director at Northern and Shell.
The launch follows The Health Lottery withdrawing from 10,000 under-performing stores at the end of last year.
