The Independent Achievers Academy 2015 launched at the Eat 17 restaurant above James Brundle’s innovative Spar store in east London last Thursday, March 26.
More than 60 independent retailers gathered alongside leading suppliers and IAA sponsors to hear from previous winners about how joining the academy helped grow their own businesses.
Nick Shanagher, managing director of IAA organiser Newtrade, launched the event by speaking to 2014 Overall Best Shop winner Ramesh Shingadia. Retail Newsagent editor Chris Gamm spoke to Mark & Samantha Coldbeck, winners of the Availability category in 2014.
