Tesco is introducing a new delivery service that aims to deliver groceries to their customers within an hour. This will be similar to the delivery services offered by Sainsbury’s via Chop Chop, Deliveroo and Uber Eats.
Customers will be able to place on-demand orders through Tesco’s app or their website, with products delivered by bike, moped, or car for a £5 delivery fee.
The trial of the Whoosh delivery service will initially be available to postcodes around its Wolverhampton Willenhall Express store. After the trial run the model will be evaluated for future expansion opportunities. This comes after Tesco’s rapid period of online growth during the pandemic.
