Sports drink brand iPro partners with Parkrun to support retail expansion

Brand is also launching more consumer-friendly iPro Hydrate range

Functional drinks brand iPro has announced a six-year partnership with community fitness event Parkrun as its official hydration partner.

The sponsorship is intended to support the brand’s expansion into wider convenience and wholesale markets, as it is currently available to Spar and Co-op retailers. As part of the partnership, iPro is launching a new wellness range, iPro Hydrate with four flavours: Berry Mix, Orange & Pineapple, Citrus Blend, and Mango.

iPro Hydrate bottles are 500ml and have an RRP of £1.69, with fully recyclable packaging. Parkrun, the Saturday-morning 5km running event held across 22 countries, has attracted more than seven million people so far.

Nick Pearson, Parkrun CEO, said: “We are very particular about the organisations we partner with. We have spent many months talking with iPRO and are really happy that our values align. Healthy hydration is at the heart of wellbeing and activity, and we very much welcome iPRO into our growing community.”
