Spar has launched four new wines ahead of summer, including two bag-in-a-box flavours, a new Picpoul de Pinet, and a new Sauvignon Blanc.
Crisp White and Fresh Rosé bag in a box
Crisp White and Fresh Rosé bag in a box wines (main picture) will be available from Spar stores on 29 April. They come in a 2.25l pack, with an RRP of £14.99.
Adam Georgiou, brand manager for Spar UK, said: “The bag in box wine category has experienced double digit growth over the last year with this trend set to continue into summer 2021. Our two new bag in a box SKUs are a product extension of our already popular Crisp White and Fresh Rosé wines and in keeping with the familiar designs, customers can easily recognise them.”

Spar Picpoul de Pinet
Spar is launching its own Picpoul de Pinet from Languedoc, which will sit under Spar’s existing Regional Selection range.
It will be available from 20 May at £6.99, until 9 June when its normal RRP of £7.99 will return.
“Picpoul de Pinet has seen double-digit growth over the last 12 months and appeals to younger and older shoppers,” said Georgious. “This wine is lively and vivacious with a clean finish.”

Spar Seashell Bay Sauvignon Blanc
Spar’s fourth summer wine launch is Seashell Bay Sauvignon Blanc, which is sourced from South African winery Journey’s End, and will form part of Spar’s Exclusive range.
It launches on 20 May at an RRP of £5.99, until 9 June when the RRP will become £6.99.
“Seashell Bay is a deliciously fresh and floral style of Sauvignon Blanc. It is fragrant, tasty and full of flavour and is a perfect accompaniment for summer dishes,” added Georgiou.
“We are very excited to see how quickly our customers respond to these four new additions. They are very popular wines offering SPAR stores a great opportunity to make incremental sales,” Georgiou concluded.
