Blackthorn Cider is launching Black ‘n Black, a new dark fruits flavour, alongside a brand refresh that will reflect its West Country heritage.
The Blackthorn cans carry a Somerset dragon logo and the words ‘Somerset pressed’ to highlight the history of the brand, as well as the Shepton Mallet Market Cross monument.
Fruit cider is the fastest-growing flavour in this category in the off-trade, up by 65% in volume over the last year, and Black ‘n Black has been developed to capitalise on this, with a mix of dark fruits, blackberries and blackcurrants brewed with Blackthorn’s traditional apple flavour.
Expect to see an outdoor media and PR campaign in the Bristol region, followed by national PoS support.
