PayPoint has signed a deal with Deliveroo to offer partnered stores free sign-up to the online delivery site.
While PayPoint refused to share the terms of the agreements, retailers contacted by the EPoS company were told they would not have to pay the standard Deliveroo joining fee, the delivery company would place a 29% surcharge on every order, and the agreement is on a 30-day rolling contract.
PayPoint continues to improve EPoS offering
The service launched this week with a core range of products and was offered to PayPoint sites in areas covered by Deliveroo. While the tablets needed to receive and process orders are provided by Deliveroo, PayPoint is uploading the online menus for partnered stores.
Asked about interest from its partnered retailers, a PayPoint spokesperson said: “Retailers are interested, and positive about our Deliveroo partnership.”
