Suntory Beverage & Food GB&I (SBF GB&I) has partnered with various independent convenience retailers to help them donate stock to local charities and community groups.
The partnership has seen 50 retailers across England, Scotland and Wales donate more than 90 pallets of Ribena, Ribena Sparkling and Orangina to various causes, equivalent to around 9,000 cases of stock.
This follows from the partnership’s first iteration in December 2020, when 40 retailers took part. Wholesale partners this year included Parfetts, United Wholesale Scotland, Splendour Wholesale and Amrit Singh Pahal of H & Jodie’s Nisa.
These wholesalers acted as distribution and collection points for participating retailers.
Ribena partners with Hasbro again to boost summer sales
Retailer Natalie Lightfoot, of Londis Solo Convenience in Glasgow, said: “We know times are hard for shoppers right now, and charitable organisations are having to work even harder than ever. We’ve been a collection point for our local food bank for a number of years now, so we’ve seen the real positive impact that initiatives like this can deliver.
“This partnership with SBF GB&I will further help out our local charity partners, and the people who are most important to our store – the people in our local area.”
Alpesh Mistry, SBF GB&I sales director, added: “It is so rewarding to partner with these outstanding retailers and the incredible causes they’ve supported to help those most in need in their local areas, which epitomises our Growing For Good value at SBF GB&I.
“It’s a great example of how we work to give back to society through our retail partners and continue to support them in their role at the centre of their communities.”
