Rum likes it hops with Bachata

Cuban rum-flavoured premium beer Bachata has been launched by Morgenrot, tapping into the fast-growing spirit-beer (‘speers’) category.

Bachata uses rum which is produced from natural sugar cane and aged in oak casks for seven years and is available in 33cl bottles (24 per case) with an ABV of 5.3%.

Morgenrot national accounts director Graham Archibald said: “Speers have definitely added something different to the market and are a fixture which I believe will stay and continue to see growth.

“Bachata is a unique, great tasting beer, made with quality in mind which fits perfectly in our offering.”
