More than 96% of independent retailers believe current news and magazine complaints and restitution processes are not fit for purpose.
The preliminary results from RN’s latest investigation reveal large differences in the percentage of successful outcomes in restitution claims, with some stores achieving an 80% claim success rate while many more are only successful in less than 10% of cases.
The statistics so far suggest that only 38% of shop owners have attempted to claim restitution in the past 12 months, with a lack of trust in the current process being the most commonly reported barrier.
Read the full findings in next week’s edition of RN.
