Retailers can drive more Ribena sales this month as the brand refreshes its range with a new design.
Launching ahead of the summer, the new look runs across Blackcurrant, Light Blackcurrant, Mango & Lime, Pineapple & Passion Fruit, Strawberry and Very Berry.
The brand is also changing the recipes of its Strawberry and Mango & Lime flavours make them no added sugar drinks.
Hussein Osman, owner of Middle East Food Market in Ealing, west London, said he had seen a spike in soft drink sales with the warmer weather, and that diet and light drinks are becoming more popular.
“Ribena is a really strong seller for us. We find that a lot of our shoppers stock up on it in big batches to give to their children for school,” he said.
With the exception of Blackcurrant and Very Berry, all flavours will promote that they contain less than 15 calories per 250ml.
The launch will be backed by TV and outdoor advertising, as well as social media activity that will reach 25million consumers.
