Retailers to receive backdated rewards from Mars Wrigley Confectionery

Convenience retailers will receive backdated rewards and have access to exclusive offers as Mars Chocolate revamps its ‘Your perfect store’ retailer initiative. 

The scheme originally included chocolate brands like Snickers and Mars, but following its merger with Wrigley, the company has added fruit confectionery such as Starburst and Skittles. 

The company, now Mars Wrigley Confectionery, promised regular rep visits and will give out backdated rewards if they are unable to call.

Joanne Alvarado, Mars Wrigley Confectionery field sales director, told Retail Express: “As part of this update, the tens of thousands of retailers who benefit from our reward scheme across the country will have the opportunity to receive backdated vouchers when they are next visited by a rep.”

Retailers like Maqsood Akhtar of Blackthorne News & Food in South Yorkshire, contacted Retail Express earlier this year to report that they had not received the rewards from Mars Chocolate that they were owed. 

“We aim to offer flexibility within the programme. We will contact Maqsood directly to resolve the matter,” Alvarado said.
