Retailer partners with Spar Scotland for tailored outdoor advertising

The firm worked with Daniall Nadeem and his store on Motherwell Road

A retailer has worked with Spar Scotland to create bespoke billboard advertising directing customers to his store.

Daniall Nadeem, of Spar Motherwell Road in Belshill, unveiled the advertising in January. As well as telling potential customers about his store, the billboard highlights promotions such as £1.27 for semi-skimmed milk, £1 for eggs and £1 for bread. It also advertises home delivery services from the store in partnership with Snappy Shopper.

It is one of the first times a symbol group has worked with one of their retailers to create tailored advertising. Commenting on the campaign, Nadeem told Better Retailing: “The campaign lasts until February, but a lot of customers have been quite positive. They said it’s good to see a local business advertising instead of a major corporation such as Sky or McDonald’s. It’s gone down really well.

“I went to Spar Scotland with the idea who were very welcoming about it. I’m very thankful to Spar Scotland for working with me on the idea.”

CJ Lang has been approached by Better Retailing for comment.
