Publisher Reach has teamed up with The Fed to offer retailers located in the East Midlands, an exclusive subscription campaign, helping to drive deliveries and maintain loyalty.
The offer, running until 30 September, offers customers the chance to subscribe to one of its titles for the price of £2 for 26 weeks, with an additional 20% discount thereafter. In addition, retailers will receive a £10 bonus for each order they generate.
It includes the Daily Mirror, Daily Express, Daily Star, Derby Telegraph, Leicester Mercury, Nottingham Post and Burton Mail.
Retailers in the affected area will receive 50 leaflets from Reach to help them promote the offer, which have a unique code printed on them for customers to quote when placing their order.
Reach cuts margins for the second time this week
Once complete, shop details will need to be written in the box at the bottom of the front page, so Reach’s call centre can confirm with the customer which retailer gave them the leaflet.
The publisher will then pay retailers via their Smiths News wholesale account once The Fed have received the first direct debit payment from the customer.
The Fed will also distribute a post via email to help store owners promote the campaign. The offer is valid for seven day subscriptions for national titles, and six days for regional ones.
Retailers have been encouraged to share that customers taking part will save at least £100 on the price of their newspaper over the period.
