Direct-to-lung vaping
Direct-to-lung vaping involves inhaling the vapour straight from the e-cigarette into your lungs, normally favoured by experienced vapers as the cloud is denser and ‘warmer’. It is a style most associated with sub-ohm devices, and some suppliers recommend sticking to low or 0mg nicotine e-liquids, as higher strengths produce a harsher throat hit and
might interfere with the flavour of the e-liquid.

Mouth-to-lung vaping
Mouth-to-lung vaping most resembles the way in which most people smoke cigarettes, so is best suited for those who are new to vaping and trying to quit traditional tobacco. The style involves the user inhaling the vapour from the e-cigarette into their mouth, and then into their lungs. When vaping mouth-to-lung, the device requires a coil with a higher resistance of 1ohm or above. This means the e-liquid is vapourised at a cooler temperature, so a ‘thinner’ cloud is produced – similar to that of cigarette smoke. These devices also use less e-liquid, and therefore are more cost-effective.
Restricted direct-to-lung vaping
Restricted direct-to-lung vaping sits between direct-to-lung and mouth-to-lung vaping and describes a device that takes elements from both inhalation styles.
