This year Better Retailing’s parent company Newtrade introduced the Profit Zone at the Independent Retail Show. This was an area where retailers could gain advice and ideas for their shop from fellow retailers as well as from top suppliers. Leading suppliers and organisations signed up to take part in the Profit Zone, including Wrigley, Kraft, Imperial Tobacco, Retail Data Partnership, Booker, National Skills Academy for Independent Retailers and United Biscuits.
