Häagen-Dazs has launched a macaron ice cream range made in collaboration with pastry chef Pierre Hermé.
The range has launched in Asda in Strawberry & Raspberry and Double Chocolate Ganache varieties in pint and mini-cup formats, with respective RRPs of £5.35 and £4.80.
It will be rolling out across wholesalers, Co-op, Waitrose, Morrisons, Tesco and Sainsbury’s in March.
Over a third of c-store shoppers prefer big night in to pub, says Häagen-Dazs
Jose Alves, head of Häagen-Dazs UK, said: “Pierre Hermé is celebrated for his exquisite macarons and together with the iconic ice cream of Häagen-Dazs, a new era of magical indulgence is here. The partnership showcases the true craftsmanship of both brands; passionate about innovating and reinterpreting classic favourites and creating extraordinary experiences.”
Pierre Hermé added: “My macarons are my identity, so to put them in an ice cream I needed to work with the very best. Häagen-Dazs is just as passionate as me when it comes to quality, taste and crafting things in a new way so collaboration was established from the first bite.”
The supplier is supporting the launch with a marketing campaign including experiential events and influencer activity.
