Cadbury brings back ‘Win a day in their boots’ football promo

Shoppers have the chance to win prizes such as stadium tours, training days and match tickets

Mondelez International is relaunching its ‘Win a day in their boots’ Cadbury promotion for a second year in a row, offering football fans the chance to win prizes through its Cadbury FC platform.

Running from January to March across hundreds of Cadbury packs, the campaign aims to boost retailers sales after Christmas. To enter, shoppers must buy a participating pack, enter the barcode and batch code online, and select their preferred experience day.

Prizes up for grabs are a VIP hospitality match day and stadium tour, a training day with club coaches and full training kit for the winner and a group of friends, or a meeting with a football legend with a behind-the-scenes day. Additionally, shoppers can also win hundreds of general admission match tickets to a selection of games.

The campaign is in partnership with Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur football clubs.

According to Christina Bland, brand manager for Cadbury at Mondelez, this year’s promotion reached 84% of adults in the UK and added £2.5m to sales.

“Retailers can really get the ball rolling on their sales in the new year with our ‘Win a day in their boots’ promotion as it returns to shelves even bigger and better than before. Cadbury FC is all about amplifying football passion to drive sales, so we couldn’t be more excited to roll this out for shoppers and retailers alike,” she said.
