Pladis has launched its Flipz Peanut Butter coated pretzels in a new £1 price-marked pack (PMP) format, to help retailers drive bagged snack sales.
It marks the second Flipz PMP, following the Milk Chocolate pack launched in August 2020, which Pladis says is now worth £400,000 in convenience. The 80g pack is available to retailers in cases of six.

Having launched in 2018, Flipz is now worth £12.6m in the UK, according to Jonathan Bull, marketing director for chocolate, cake and seasonal at Pladis UK&I.
“The latest PMP to join our Flipz lineup reflects the important role we know PMPs play in driving impulse sales in convenience,” said Bull. “As despite accounting for only 12% of SKUs, PMPs represent an incredible three quarters of sales in this channel.
“Couple this with the fact that 91% of shoppers are actively looking to save on groceries and it’s clear that products in this format are independent retailers’ ticket to unlocking snacking sales growth.”

Additionally, Flipz sales have increased by 106% in independents, according to Bull, and Pladis has added Flipz Milk Chocolate to its list of top 10 biscuit must-stocks in the channel.
