Nestlé Waters is refreshing its Perrier brand with two new flavours in a bid to drive value in the water category.
Perrier Green Apple and Lemon are available in 500ml bottles, RRP 95p. The drinks are sugar-free and contain no sweeteners.
The launch is the first time the brand will be available in single plastic bottles to target shoppers on the go.
Julia Holbrook, category development lead at Nestlé Waters, said 85% of households are concerned about sugar, with consumers switching from soft drinks to healthier options.
“Fruit juice and flavoured carbonates have lost share to water but they have a higher pence-per-litre. Water needs to drive value,” she added.
Outdoor advertising will support the launch and reach 10 million people in cities such as London, Leeds and Edinburgh. The brand will also be backed by video-on-demand, digital and print advertising, as well as sampling activity.
Olivia van Vredenburch, Perrier brand manager at Nestlé Waters, said: “There has been a significant focus on the role of water in maintaining a healthy lifestyle, which has helped to drive sales and grow the bottled water market by 19%.”
