With sharing bags now making up 55% of sugar confectionery sales, Perfetti Van Melle is introducing £1 price-marked packs across its brands.
The Fruittella, Mentos and Klene packs are available from wholesalers now.
Mark Roberts, trade marketing manager at Perfetti Van Melle, said sharing bags are particularly popular in the summer as consumers look for bigger treats for parties as well as travel and holidays.
“With nearly two thirds of shoppers buying on impulse in stores, PMPs can help to encourage more of these purchases and build trust with consumers,” he added.
