PayPoint has struck a deal to install free-to-use ATMs in more Premier stores. PayPoint said: “[We] have had conversations with Booker, who are seeking a partner that can work with retailers [to provide free ATMs].”
In five years, 16,500 free ATMs have been lost. PayPoint admitted ATMs remain under pressure, but said its “unique” model made it resilient, vowing to add no charges without a retailer’s permission.
PayPoint said this and “enhanced commercials” for shops meant it is “seeing more stores than ever sign up for ATMs”.
