Parfetts has implemented a temporary cap on alcohol orders due to “high demand and poor supplier availability.”
In a message sent to its retailers, and seen by Better Retailing, the wholesaler said: “Due to current high demand and poor supplier availability, we are temporarily implementing a maximum of two orders per week and a limit of 10 cases on beer and cider products.”
The firm added retailers may see deliveries made outside of their regular time slots, but promised to fulfill orders in the week they have been placed.
These caps come as Booker retailers had their orders disrupted due to intermittent technical glitches with the firm’s website.
