Collectables publishers Panini and Topps are set to go head to head to win over football fans with release of Panini Premier League cards.
Panini released its official Premier League cards on 6 September. The rights to the league had previously been held by Topps, which instead released an official Champions League cards set last week.
Panini UK managing director Mike Riddel, said: “We are investing in an unprecedented marketing campaign which will take the UK by storm.”
A Topps spokesperson said: “We are sure the Champions League collection will be an even bigger hit among fans of all ages.”
