Nisa has warned retailers of potential increases to wholesale pricing and RRPs on tobacco and alcohol, if the government increases duty in the upcoming Budget.
A message sent by the wholesaler to its partners said possible increases to tobacco pricing will happen on or after 13 March. The increase to licensed products will take place on the date of any duty changes.
Nisa wrote: “This statement assumes that tobacco-related and licensed products will be affected by duty increases.
“We will advise the exact dates once we know the date that any new duty increases will apply from.”
