Nisa to rebrand 300 stores under Evolution format

Symbol group Nisa is rolling out an rebrand across 300-plus stores

Nisa is set to rebrand more than 300 of its stores over the next three years.

This will see the store fascia updated from white to grey in line with the Nisa Evolution Format specific.

In 2014, Nisa removed the Store of the Future 1 (SOTF1) specification from its portfolio and replaced it with the its Evolution Format.

It will now be supporting remaining retailers that still have the old SOFT1 fascia, and updating it with the grey fascia as included in the Evolution Format.

Nisa stores that have updated their store fascia since 2014 have seen an 11-13% increase in sales, according to the symbol group. This shows the positive impact refits have on footfall.

Darren May, head of format and development at Nisa, said: “With the Evolution format celebrating its 10th anniversary in April 2024, we feel this is the perfect time to modernise the estate and reward those who are proud to be a part of the Nisa Symbol group. We have found that retailers who update their store fascia see an increase in sales, so we want to encourage and support all retailers who have not already done so to transition to the Nisa Evolution Format.”

Retailers with the old fascia will have six months to commit to updating their fascia to the Evolution Format, and stores will be able to use their store development fund to upgrade their fascia.

Otherwise, stores that choose not to move onto the Evolution format will be supported in moving to the symbol group’ss alternative entry fascia branding or assisted in creating their own independent imagery.
