A Nisa store has officially reopened its doors with a boosted chilled and fresh range following an extensive refit, with fresh produce sales increasing by 50% following the reopening.
The store, located on Uxbridge Road, West London, and operated by convenience chain LA Foods, relaunched on 7 March, with a significant selection of Co-op own-brand goods.
The refurbishment, which took around six weeks to complete, introduced several upgrades, including a new store layout designed to improve customer flow.
This involved relocating the checkout counter to the front of the store, making it more accessible and allowing staff to have better oversight of the shop floor.

Additionally, the refit has introduced a temperature-controlled ‘beer cave’, a first-of-its-kind feature for the area, offering an extensive range of wines and beers.

Malik Zameer, store manager, said he wanted to create a store that “truly meets” the needs of its customers.
“We’ve expanded our chilled and fresh product range,” he added. “Particularly our fresh produce, which has already had a positive impact on sales. We’re now seeing an uplift in fresh sales by approximately 50%, which is a fantastic start.”
Another alteration was the removal of previous signage that covered the store’s windows, allowing passers-by to see inside.
He added: “Now, every aisle and bay is visible from outside, creating a more open and welcoming feel. It encourages people to pop in, even if they’re not planning to buy anything – it’s all about creating an inviting shopping space.”
