NewstrAid employees have climbed the Yorkshire Three Peaks to raise more than £6,000 for those struggling with the cost-of-living crisis.
NewstrAid CEO Neil Jagger, finance director Laura Grice and welfare manager Katie Babooram joined a group of industry fundraisers from companies including Marketforce and DMG to conquer the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge.
The group took 12 hours to climb the three peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Ingleborough and Whernside, a 24-mile round trip.
Neil Jagger, NewstrAid CEO said: “I have to admit that none of us were prepared for what a physical and mental challenge it would be to complete the Yorkshire Three Peaks, but the money it has raised for those who really need it makes it all worthwhile.”

The funds raised will support people from the newspaper and magazine industry who are struggling with the cost-of-living crisis.
Jagger added: “This year NewstrAid has seen a huge increase in applications for help from people who are facing real hardship.
“We are so grateful to everyone who took part in this challenge and to those who sponsored us.
“Marketforce deserve special mention for bringing a whole team of walkers with them and raising more than £2k. All the money raised will help the charity to support hundreds of people struggling to make ends meet this winter.”
The NewstrAid fundraising page is still open should anyone want to make a donation and boost the fundraising total further.
