Sales of The Herald, The National and Evening Times have increased following a BBC documentary about Scottish publisher Newsquest.
Broadcast on 18 September, the film focused on a series of Newsquest-owned titles and resulted in a 70% rise in subscriptions over the two days after it aired.
Waqar Chaudry, of WH Chaudry News in Glasgow, told Better Retailing: “My circulation of The National has risen significantly.”
