Spar campaign offers GB shoppers chance to win their shop for free

Spar is launching a new consumer campaign across its English, Scottish and Welsh stores offering shoppers the chance to win back their basket spend, in an effort to encourage customers back after the Christmas and New Year periods.

The ‘Win your Shop for Free’ campaign launched on 3 January and runs until 1 February. To enter, Spar customers must upload their receipt to the Spar Win Your Shop website for the chance to win back their basket spend. There are 30 prizes a day for the duration of the campaign, making 900 prizes in total.

Winners can receive a maximum of £50 back. The symbol will support the campaign with paid social media activity and in-store PoS.

Alex Hall, Spar UK digital marketing manager, said: “We are looking to reward customers with a campaign that focuses on value at what can be a tricky financial time of year for many. We know consumers are more likely to spend more if they think they can win the value of their shop back and ‘Win your Shop for Free’ gives them a chance to do just that. Shoppers visiting our stores can win their essential shop and maybe something extra for a special occasion as well. It’s about bringing higher perceived value to Spar stores which will incentivise basket spend and in turn encourage footfall.”
