Parfetts has expanded its Aintree depot near Liverpool to help improve its delivered wholesale service.
The expansion includes a dedicated loading area for delivered orders, “creating more capacity and giving visitors to the depot an improved service.”
In the last two years, the site’s delivered operation has increased by 40% as the wholesaler now delivers to areas such as north Manchester, the Lake District and Stoke-on-Trent. Parfetts has hired 25 new employees to help manage the demand.
Parfetts Aintree general manager Anthony Fisher-Hibbs said: “The expansion of the depot will create the capacity we need to continue to grow our delivered business while providing a better experience for our visitors. We’ve experienced significant growth through the pandemic as new retailers tried us for the first time and stayed. We aim for turnover to hit £3m a week over the coming months.”
