PayPoint is launching a new campaign to mark the achievements of its most celebrated independent retailer partners during the past 12 months.
In the coming months, the EPoS company will spotlight retailers who have won its Retail Hero award, a monthly award recognising shopkeepers who have provided exceptional levels of services and inspired their peers.

The award has gone to retailers who have “innovated and adapted to support their local communities during the pandemic,” according to PayPoint.
Some recipients include:
Ron and Yvonne Ford, who introduced a delivery service to their Budgens Darfield store in Yorkshire; Imran Hamid, who started a charity collection in his Day-Today Express store in Dennyloanhead, Falkirk to raise money for a local hospice while charity shops were shut during lockdown; and Nallanthamby Suthkaran and Dancy Stephen, who sourced additional stock that they would not normally supply to help customers struggling to get it.

Ben Ford, retail services director at PayPoint, said: “Our entire network of retailer partners has shown great courage and resilience over the past year and this campaign will shine a light on 12 of the many thousands of our partners who have gone above and beyond.
“The stories we have heard of how retailers are continuing to support communities by offering delivery, adapting their stores, and sourcing stock have been remarkable and continue to inspire us, their peers, and the customers they serve.”
PayPoint will support the campaign across social media, email newsletter and its website, as well as highlighting specific regional data sets which demonstrate the impact of independent retailers in their local area.
