New launch from Butterkist is set to make the market pop

Butterkist is adding a Sweet & Salted variant to its single-serve range to capitalise on the growth of the popcorn market. Available from August 18, RRP 55p

Butterkist is adding a Sweet & Salted variant to its single-serve range to capitalise on the growth of the popcorn market.

Available from August 18, RRP 55p, the new flavour comes in clip-strip packs to make them easy to display. 

The launch joins Butterkist’s savoury single-serve range, which comprises Sea Salt & Balsamic Vinegar, Sour Cream & Chive and Thai Sweet Chilli.

“The Sweet & Salted clip-strip packs make for the ideal merchandising solution,” said Helena Blincow, Butterkist brand manager. 

She added that the recent growth in popularity of popcorn had been driven by its extension into the snacking and lunchtime sector.

Butterkist has seen a 185% year-on-year growth of the Sweet & Salted flavour.
