Nestlé cuts sugar by 30% with new Rowntree’s range

Nestlé Confectionery is continuing its pledge to remove sugar across its confectionery range with the launch of Rowntree’s 30% less sugar.

Nestlé Confectionery is continuing its pledge to remove sugar across its confectionery range with the launch of Rowntree’s 30% less sugar.

Available for Rowntree’s Fruit Pastilles and Rowntree’s Randoms, the new recipe also includes more fibre. The original product will still be available to give shoppers choice. 

Dame Fiona Kendrick, Nestlé UK chairman and CEO, said: “Confectionery can play as much of a part in the efforts to reduce sugar and tackle obesity as any other category and we’ll take every opportunity to reformulation to improve our products.”
