A new service that automatically updates Deliveroo, Just Eat and Uber Eats with real-time pricing and availability from shop tills is driving massive sales, according to NearSt.

The tech company, which provides convenience store ranging details to Google to boost their footfall, said its new tool for managing listings on the grocery delivery platforms had supported a 913% increase in delivered sales.

NearSt claimed its launch with forecourt and convenience chain Pricewatch Group, which has around a dozen sites trading under Morrisons, Nisa, Gulf and BP brands, also saved the retailer 59 hours per month in staff time usually spent managing prices and availability on the online delivery sites. The company said the number of abandoned online orders had also fallen by more than a third since the new tool was introduced.  “From an operational time-saving aspect, NearSt has been invaluable.” Said Pricewatch Group general manager Tom Buckley.

Describing the new technology, NearSt said it “connects directly with convenience retailer’s existing EPOS systems, ensuring their full in-store product range is displayed live on delivery apps”. NearSt CEO Nick Brackenbury added the tool works with more than 150 ‘point-of sale partners’.
