More of the best news and convenience retailers are buying Retail Newsagent’s market leading news and advice every week, according to independently audited sales figures.
In the last year, average weekly sales of RN have grown by 4.3% to 13,626 copies per issue* – the highest figure since 2010. In the same period, trade magazines have seen a 10.4% decline in circulation on average, industry data shows.**

The latest growth in weekly sales follows an impressive run of breaking stories that have been picked up by national media outlets. Most recently, news content editor Ed Chadwick’s story in the 1 August edition of Retail Newsagent, detailing how existing laws to curb teen smoking are not being enforced by trading standards departments, was picked up by The Times and Daily Mirror.
