Mondelez International is launching a limited-edition Toblerone variety, Toblerone Golden.
Available from this month, Toblerone Golden is a caramel flavour and is intended to be a seasonal gift.
It is also targeting younger adult shoppers who have an appetite for caramelised white chocolate. Caramelised white was the biggest new chocolate development in 2021, with a retail sales value of £18.5m.

This is more than double the second-most popular development.
Claire Kamara, brand manager for Toblerone at Mondelez, said: “We are confident that Toblerone Golden will help the brand to reach even more shoppers and allow retailers drive additional sales this year, given that the caramelised white flavour is 18% incremental to the chocolate category.”
Mondelez will support the launch with a PR campaign and in-store retailer support.
