McColl’s is trialling a new fascia at an unspecified site as part of an ongoing rebrand of the convenience chain.
The development was revealed in the firm’s annual report, which detailed its 1,265 stores.

Sales were up by 12%, with the average basket growing 21% to £7.61 – 15p higher than in the average convenience store.
The company’s home news delivery arm also gained 17,000 new customers, taking its total to 90,000 – an estimated 10% share of the entire news delivery market.
