Unilever has announced the launch of a Truffle variety of Marmite yeast spread.
Marmite Truffle will be available nationwide in June at an RRP of £4.50 per jar, having launched exclusively in Sainsbury’s on 1 May.
Made with umami, the new launch is designed to reach more households as a spread that can be used for more than just on toast.

The supplier suggests that shoppers can use Marmite Truffle as an ingredient in truffle toast, truffle-infused gravy or in fettucine pasta.
Sophie Allan, senior brand manager at Marmite, said: “Our love it or hate it flavours from Marmite always get tongues wagging and we expect no less with our poshest ever launch. Providing retailers with a top-notch trade-up opportunity from our Original as shoppers look to get their hands on the most luxurious Marmite to date.”
In support of the launch, there will be billboards across ‘posh’ London areas including Harrods and a horse-drawn carriage.
