Love it or hate it, Unilever’s innovative approach to Easter could be what you need to offer shoppers something a bit different next year.
The company has teamed up with novelty confectionery manufacturer Kinnerton to launch Easter eggs for Marmite and Pot Noodle. The Marmite-flavoured chocolate egg and Pot Noodle-branded mug and chocolate egg are both priced at £5 and will be available from February. It’s the first time the brands have entered the Easter confectionery market.
The Marmite Easter egg will come in cases of four, while the Pot Noodle Easter eggs will be available in cases of six.
“We anticipate that the new additions will drive sales for retailers by offering an exciting new product from brands that consumers know and love,” said Julie McCleave, head of licensing at Unilever UK.
The new lines build on the success of Unilever’s first-ever Easter egg launch last year, with ice cream brands Magnum, Cornetto and Mini Milk.
