Lucozade’s net gains with PMP promotion

Lucozade is powering up the soft drinks sector this year with a limited period price promotion across key lines.

Available until June, a 79p flash will be present on a number of variants, including the limited edition Brazilian-inspired flavours – Lucozade Sport Brazilian Guava and Lucozade Energy Mango & Mandarin.

The launch follows the brand’s success with PMPs last year, which delivered a double-digit uplift in sales.Corrine Hopwood, Lucozade marketing director, said retailers stocking the new 79p PMPs can expect to see an increase in footfall and a sales uplift. “This year we are pleased to be launching the initiative across even more flavours, enabling retailers to really take advantage of the promotion and drive sales within the category,” she said.

Meanwhile, Lucozade Sport has teamed up with England footballer Steven Gerrard to help retailers score more sales. As part of the brand’s ‘Fuel to Rule’ campaign, consumers have the chance to win one of 60 pairs of football boots designed by Gerrard every day from April 14 to June 15.

The promotion runs across the complete Lucozade Sport range, and is being advertised specifically on the Orange and Raspberry singles and four-packs.
