KP Snacks partners with Movember with ‘Check your nuts’ campaign

To combat the stigma around testicular cancer, KP Snacks is partnering with Movember.

KP Snacks partners with Movember to get men to check their nuts

KP Snacks has announced a new partnership with Movember to get more people talking about testicular cancer, the most common form of cancer among young men.

A series of events and initiatives are planned throughout November to raise awareness and to break down taboos associated with testicular cancer.

A KP Nuts fundraising comedy evening with Omid Djalil forms a central part of the activity. Djalili, will be joined by up-and-coming comic Lee Peart and footballing legend, John Hartson, who fought testicular cancer in his early-30s.

The event will be free to attend, with donations to Movember will welcomed.

KP Nuts will also support the partnership with an £850k outdoor and print advertising campaign encouraging men to ‘Check your nuts’.

Sue Mackay, KP Nuts marketing manager, said, “We are extremely proud to be working alongside Movember. Testicular cancer is the most common form of cancer in young men but there is a stigma attached to talking about it.

If caught early, there is a 95% chance of survival. This campaign aims to educate young men on the importance of checking their nuts, while raising a smile and as much money as possible for the charity.”

Globally men are dying, on average, six years younger than women for largely preventable reasons.

Testicular cancer is the leading cancer diagnosed in 15-40-year-old men. Rates have doubled over the last 50 years.

2,300 men are diagnosed with testicular cancer every year in Britain. If diagnosed early most men survive.
