JW Filshill has launched a new KeyStore More fascia

JW Filshill has launched a new KeyStore More fascia for “the most progressive retailers” in Scotland.

JW Filshill has launched a new KeyStore More fascia  for “the most progressive retailers” in Scotland.

The wholesaler said the fascia would focus on chilled and fresh ranges, the shopping environment, Scottish goods and food to go.

Wilson Rea, one of the first retailers to sign up to the fascia, said sales had grown 10% at his Lanark store following the refit, which included new signs, shelving, promotional TV screens and LED backlighting. “It has really struck a chord with my customers,” he added.

His newly re-opened store features a food to go counter with Simply Coffee serving breakfast rolls, soup, pies and hot and cold filled rolls.

A range of local suppliers including Lanark butcher Alan Elliot, the Apple Pie Bakery in Kirkmuirhill and Overton Farm products from nearby Crossford. “Fresh, local and food to go are at the core of the KeyStore More consumer offer,” explained Rea.

Eleven stores have been converted to KeyStore More and the company is planning another 20 in 2018.

Filshill retail director Craig Brown said: “Business is tough and our new proposition elevates our customers’ ability to compete not just with other independents but operators such as Sainsbury’s Local and Tesco Express.”
